GRP or Woven

450g GRP Fibreglass or BSB Quality Woven Cloth?

What should you choose... Obviously cost can be the deciding factor... The 450g GRP Chopped Strand Fibreglass option is less expensive and does a great job! In fact, until recently we only manufactured our bodywork using this material, so if you have been a customer in the last 20 years, this would have been our Standard Finish. Race Teams in the paddocks up and down the length of the UK have been using our Standard Bodywork for over a decade! We are incredibly proud to say that our Chopped Strand Fibreglass products are produced to a very high standard. As a result of a larger workforce we have been able to increase the variety of options we manufacture. We are now supplying some BSB Teams and they wanted even lighter fairings, so now we regularly manufacture race kits with the Woven Cloth. It "looks nicer" on the inside... it is slightly lighter... more flexible and possibly stronger...and it is also more expensive. Although it is stated to be stronger, if you crash, it will still break! The choice is yours: If cost is the main factor our Chopped Fibreglass Bodywork is a very high standard. Alternatively the BSB Woven Bodywork is "very nice".
